Tiny antique fly charm crafted in 15 carat gold. This miniature bug is designed a small fly. It started it's life as another item of jewellery, though we're not sure what. The thorax and wings are detailed, engraved to make it more life like. Six tiny legs stick out from the body. There's a loop at the bottom, evidence of this piece having a prior life and purpose. it's been left in case it's new owner wishes to add a drop and display this fly in another way. We've added the a jump ring so that this little guy can be added to a chain or hook. This is a very small piece, about the size of a real life housefly. Circa 19th century, modern conversion.
Not stamped, professionally tested and assessed as 15 carat gold, which is yellow in colour.
Measures approx 12.95 mm / 0.51 inches long from the attached jump ring (not bail) to the loop on the fly's end, 7.4 mm / 0.29 inches across the wings.

It is supplied without a chain, though it can be added to our usual modern 9 carat yellow gold chain, as shown on model, not the chain shown in other photos, please choose the length you require at checkout.
