Sweet angel charm with a garnet drop. An angel is modelled in 9 carat yellow gold with it's wings spread wide and it's arm open as though it's either about to take off or give you a hug. At the bottom, a previous owner has added a pear shape drop set with a garnet. The garnet is long and lean, set in a pinched design in pinchbeck metal. Circa early to mid 20th century angel, Georgian drop, date of conversion unknown.

Garnet: pear shape, approx 7.8 mm by 3.9 mm.

Not marked. The angel and bail tested as 9 carat yellow gold. The garnet drop is pinchbeck.
