Large amethyst single stone ring set in an ornate 9 carat yellow gold setting. This ring features a rectangular cushion shaped purple amethyst. The gemstone is held in place by four sets of triple claw prongs and the setting is adorned with scroll design yellow gold wire work. The amethyst is set very low to the finger and the bottom side of it touches the top of the finger when worn. Pre-mid 1975s.
Amethyst: cushion shape, measures 12.3 mm by 9.9 mm and is calculated in setting as 4.6 carats.
Not marked, tested as 9 carat gold.
Size: UK - O 1/2; US - 7 1/2; EU - 17 3/4. This ring can be sized down to M / 6.25 or made several sizes larger. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures 13.1 mm wide and stands 6.2 mm tall off the finger.
Weighs 2.55 grams.
