Gorgeous retro amethyst single stone ring. This ring is set in a high retro era 12 claw mounting. It's simple design keeps the focus on it's prize, a lovely pale coloured round cut amethyst. At 10 mm this is a nice sized amethyst. This piece dates to the 1960s. Amethyst is the birthstone for February.

Amethyst: pale purple, round faceted, 10 mm in diameter. Minor facet wear visible under magnification.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham, 1968. The hallmarks are rubbed though legible under magnification.
