Vintage two-tone diamond engagement ring. The design of this ring is stunning! A single round brilliant cut diamond is set in an engraved illusion style mounting. White shoulders curve down to the band with an engraved beaded design at the end. A band of gold is looped through the shoulders forming a horseshoe design. Horseshoes are regarding as bringing good luck, the perfect sentiment for an engagement ring! The shank is a nice, thick D shape profile band. Circa 1940s, British in origin.
Diamond: round brilliant, calculated within the limits of the mounting as 3.5 mm, 0.15 carats, J / K colour, VS2 / SI1 clarity.
Stamped 18ct & PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold with the diamond set into a platinum top.
Size: UK - M; US - 6 1/4; EU - 53. This ring can be resized between J / 5 / 49 and S / 9.25 / 60. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 5.75 mm wide at diamond and rises 5.35 mm tall and 2.35 mm wide at back of band.
Weighs 3.4 grams.
