Vintage diamond engagement ring in a twist design. A trio of diamonds is illusion set in a graduated design. The centre diamond is a round brilliant cut and is flanked by single cut diamonds. The collet around them is engraved in such a way to give the impression of the diamonds being larger than their actual size. Diamonds during the Art Deco era and post World War II were starting to be affordable to the average bride and groom. Jewellers were clever at finding ways to craft ornate and eye catching mountings which held the precious gemstones and appealed to the couples. Pretty fluted, winged engraved shoulders wrap around the diamonds and lead to a simple yellow gold band. Circa 1930s - 1940s, British in origin.

Diamonds: 3 total, 1 round brilliant cut and 2 single cut totalling approx 0.12 carats together, near colourless and eye clean as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Stamped 18ct PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold with the diamonds set into a platinum top.

Size: UK - M; US - 6.25; EU - 16,7. This ring can be sized between K / 5.25 / 15,8 and R / 8.75 / 18,75. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 8.5mm wide by 5.35 mm deep. 1.8 mm band.
