Vintage Sapphire & Diamond Three Stone Engagement Ring. Circa 1940s, 18ct Gold & Platinum.Add to Wishlist
Sapphire and diamond three stone engagement ring. This vintage 18 carat gold ring is set with a square step-cut sapphire flanked by single cut diamonds. The sapphire is a lovely dark blue colour which is held in place with corner shaped claws. The smaller diamonds are bead set onto either side of the sapphire. The diamonds are framed by a larger mounting, which both protects them and makes them look a bit larger. The tapered shoulders are smooth and shiny, topped in platinum to give the impression of this ring being entirely white from the face on. The gold band is a slender D shaped profile. Circa 1940s, British in origin.
