Incredible vintage ruby and diamond engagement ring dating to the mid 20th century. This ring is floral in design with a larger ruby to the centre and eight smaller diamonds bead set, forming a halo around the ruby. An additional bezel set diamond accents the top of each shoulder. The gold band wraps around the top and bottom of the gemstone cluster. This is a gorgeous engagement ring, circa 1930s - 1950, British in origin.

Ruby: round cut, vivid deep red in colour, approx 3.4 mm, 0.20 carats as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Diamonds: 10, single cut. The 8 immediately around the ruby measure approx 1.8 mm, 0.025 carats each. The 2 diamonds on the shoulders measure approx 2 mm, 0.03 carats each. Total 0.26 carats, G / H colour, SI1 / SI2 clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Stamped PLAT 18ct. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top edge.
