An elegant mid 20th century diamond engagement ring set in platinum. A centre round brilliant cut diamond is set in 8 claws at the centre of a cluster and above the surrounding diamonds. Eight early round brilliant cut diamonds form a halo around the centre diamond. This ring has a platinum band which is wider in the back and narrows near the diamonds, curving up in a sleek shape. This ring dates to the mid 1930s - 1950s, the mid 20th century.

This ring has had work done to it in the past. All the claws have been retipped, some in white gold, and this ring has had a full reshank, which limits how far it can be resized in the future. Its in good and wearable condition. It sits well, facing large on the finger with a lot of carat weight for the price.

Diamonds: 9, early round brilliant cut. Centre measures approx 3.2 mm and is calculated in setting as 0.12 carats. 8 surrounding diamonds measure approx 2.1 mm and total approx 0.28 carats together.
Total carat weight, calculated as setting permits is 0.40 carats. Most H / I colour with one drawing more colour, assessed as K / L colour. Most are SI1 to SI2 clarity with one diamond with a small chip to the girdle, partly covered by a claw, I1 clarity.

Marked PLAT for platinum and tested as such.

Size: UK - Q; US - 8 1/8; EU - 18 1/4. Can be sized between N / 6.75 and S / 9.2. Sizing available for an additional fee.
