Lovely vintage moonstone drop earrings in sterling silver. These are simple drop earrings each set with a single large cabochon cut moonstone which is clear to silvery in colour. The moonstones are set into delicate multiple claw settings with open backs. The moonstone drops date to around the early 20th century and the pierced ear wires appear to be later replacement.

Moonstones: 2, cabochon cut, measure approx 7.8 mm by 12 mm. The moonstones are well matched in outline, one is much deeper than the other.

Not hallmarked, tested as sterling silver.

Drop 2.5 cm / 1 inch and are approx 8.4 mm wide.
