Lovely vintage love heart shaped locket dating to the 1940s. This locket is a simple gold locket, sleek in design. Adorning the top of the locket is an engraved flourish design in palladium. The engraving is ornate with a beaded fan shape and lined in milgrain beading. This locket open at the bottom, the point of the heart, and contains two 9 carat yellow gold frames. The original mustard yellow fabric and plastic photo protectors is in tact so that photos can be placed inside immediately. Circa 1940s, British in origin.

Hallmarked as 9 ct Pall. This locket is solid 9 carat gold, including the frames, with the decorative white design in palladium.

Measures 2.9 cm / 1.14 inches long including bail and 1.94 cm / 0.76 inches wide at widest point. The chain is a 9 carat yellow gold modern addition and measures 45.5 cm / 18 inches.
