Sweet 9 carat gold heart locket. Lovely photograph holder with a striped engine turned design to both the front and back. To the centre of the front is a polish circle cartouche. Circa early to mid 20th century, approx mid 1910s to mid 1930s, British in origin.
In very good condition. The interior has one built in frame and one removable frame, no plastic coverings.
Marked 9ct Front & Back. This means that the outside, the part you see when the locket is closed, is 9 carat gold while the interior is supported by another metal, usually steel, for strength. The gold is a light rosy colour.
Measures approx 25.4 mm / 1 inches tall not including the bail, by 21.9 mm / 0.86 inches wide.
