Vintage wedding set formed of an engagement ring with diamond set shoulders and a coordinating wedding band. This is a lovely, sparkling set! We love finding an original set which is still together, and this one is not exception. These rings made in the late 1940s to early 1950s have spent their lives together. They are perfectly matching but you'd be forgiven that they were because they are such a great match! A lovely and sparkly transitional to early round brilliant cut diamond is set into four sets of triple claw prongs in a square shaped mounting. This diamond is flanked by two diamonds, carefully set in small claws, and with each side ending in a triangle which points down the knife edge shank. The wedding ring, set with five diamonds, has the same design with the diamonds set in small claws with a triangle pointing down the shank.

On both rings the diamonds are set the same length across the finger. These rings have been together for about 70-80 years and are being sold as a set since they are so well matched. Most married women have had the stress of trying to find a coordinating wedding band which both goes with their engagement ring without overpowering it, underwhelming it, and that they love together. We're saving a lucky couple the hassle by keeping this set together! Circa mid 1940s - early 1950s, stamps indicate this set was probably made in North America.

Diamonds: 10 total, 5 in the engagement ring and 5 in the wedding band.
Engagement ring: Centre transitional cut diamond is approx 4.5 mm and calculated in setting as 0.30 carats, G / H colour, VS2 clarity. 4 old single cut diamonds are approx 1.8 mm each to total 0.10 carats together, near colourless and eye clean.
Wedding band: 5 single cut diamonds are approx 1.5 mm each to total approx 0.07 carats together, near colourless and eye clean.
The diamonds are calculated within the limits of the mounting as 0.47 total, G / H colour, VS clarity in this wedding set.

Both rings stamped 14K, professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat yellow gold with the diamonds set into white tops.

Size: UK - K; US - 5.25; EU - 15,9. These rings can be resized between I.5 / 4.5 / 15,3 and N / 6.75 / 16,3. Resizing available for an additional fee.
