Shaped like a crescent moon, this brooch is a beauty! The top holds eight full cut diamonds and nine rubies. Each gem is held in place securely by four prongs and a half-bezel. The bezel flares out toward the bottom, away from the stones, giving a scalloped to the outside line of the brooch. The inside is a solid line of white gold, and the bottom of the piece is a lattice work of yellow gold, making it very sturdy. Once the brooch is on, only the white gold is visible.
