A charming little guy, right? Perhaps not the cutest, but he's certainly lucky! This is the Lincoln Imp! The Lincoln Imp lives in Lincoln Cathedral and dates to around the mid 1200s when that section of the Cathedral was built. Legend has it that the devil was in a bit of a cheeky mood and sent two imps down to cause a bit of havoc. An angel in the Cathedral, frustrated by their antics, turned this one to stone and he now sits cross legged at the top of a pillar overlooking the Angel Choir, built around 1250 - 1280.
This cheeky chappy has become a symbol of Lincoln, a picturesque city in the middle of England with a history dating back to Roman times. He's in great condition and ready to wear!
