Vintage 9 carat gold locket dating tot he mid 20th century. This is such a stylish locket. Oval in shape, it has clipped ends and an engine turned design giving it a wonderfully bold retro look. It's hinged at the bottom so that, rather unusually, the top flips down when it's open by the nail slit at the top right hand side. The inside has frames to keep your photographs in place and it snaps very firmly shut. Circa 1950s, British in origin.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham 1957.

Measures approx 34 mm / 1.33 inches tall not including the bail by 18 mm / 0.70 inches wide.

Weighs 5.6 grams.
