Antique sterling silver bangle bracelet with floral design dating to the Victorian period. This wide bracelet is crafted in silver with an engraved pattern into the sterling and a raised pattern depicting morning glories and pansies in rose, yellow and green gold overlay. Along the edges is an engraved triangle design and ridged pattern. The back half of this bangle is plain and unadorned. This cuff is oval in shape, to better fit the wrist and stay upright. To open, both sides of the clasp must be squeezed together. It fastens securely and has an attached safety chain for additional security. Circa 1880s, British in origin.
Not hallmarked, there is a patent mark on the clasp and possibly a maker, H(?)AUGHTON'S. Professionally tested and assessed as sterling silver with 9 carat gold accents.
Measures XX cm / XX inches internal circumference and is 5.92 cm / 2.34 inches by 4.9 cm / 1.93 inches in diameter.
