Antique engraved silver earrings. These earrings are conversion pieces which look to have started off their lives as buttons or a similar object. Sterling silver ear wires have been soldered to the backs creating drop earrings. Each of the Victorian discs is engraved with an ivy leaf design in the centre framed by a circle of faceted shaped beads. The edges of these earrings are ruffled and the discs are domed. The engraving is beautiful, crisp, and so very detailed, it's stunning! The original piece dates to around 1880s with a more modern conversion.

Not marked, tested as sterling silver.

Measures 2.2 cm / 0.85 inches long and are approx 1.8 cm / 0.70 inches wide.

Weighs 2.6 grams.
