Chunky antique sterling silver chain dating to the Victorian era. A wide ridged chain is made from a connected double row of chain. Where these connect are round discs, each with a pierced design of a star in the centre. The flexible link is comfortable on, forming well to the neck and highlighting it's curves. This necklace secures with an oversized spring bolt clasp. The clasp can be worn to the back showing off the links of this chain, or to the front to display a large pendant or locket. Circa late 19th century, British in origin.
In very good condition.
Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as sterling silver.
Measures approx 42 cm / 16.5 inches in wearable length by 10 mm / 0.40 inches wide.
Weighs 27 grams. Locket and chain sold separately.
