Antique Victorian sapphire and diamond cluster ring. This ring is crafted as a marquise shape made of three rows of gemstones. Set in the centre are three oval cut blue sapphires with old mine cut diamonds between them. Ten diamonds, five to the top and five to the bottom, curve around to form a sparkly cluster. Each of the diamonds is an old mine cut and is held with tiny little claws. The diamonds are set into white claws on a wide 18 carat yellow gold band which narrows to a D shape in the back. Circa late 1800s, British in origin.
Sapphires: 3, oval cut, blue sapphires total approx 0.25 carats, estimated as setting permits.
Diamonds: 12, old mine cut, approx 0.46 carats, I to K colour, SI clarity.
Hallmarked for 18 carat gold, Birmingham assay office, 1874.

Measures 8.45 mm by 14.85 mm and rises 3.1 mm tall off the finger.
