Antique ruby and old cut diamond crescent moon pendant. My jeweller found this piece as a pin and converted it to a lovely, wearable pendant. Alternating old cut rubies and diamonds are graduated in size and claw set. At the ends of the gemstones is an engraved beaded design which tapers to the points. The moon is designed as a waxing crescent and is wider in the centre, tapering to the ends. This is nicely designed and looks great as a pendant. It would make a small pendant or a larger sized charm. Circa late Victorian moon, modern conversion.

Rubies: 3 total, 1 of approx 2.35 mm and 2 of approx 2.1 mm.

Diamonds: 4, old mine cut, approx 1.6 mm to 2.2 mm each to total approx 0.11 carats, near colourless and eye clean.

Not hallmarked, professionally tested and assessed as 15 carat gold.

Measures approx 1.35 cm / 0.53 inches tall not including the bail by 1 cm / 0.42 inches wide.

Weighs 0.9 grams.
