Beautiful antique love knot earrings dating to the Victorian era. These puffed dangle earrings are super fantastic! Four sections, each formed of 6 wires, are woven together to form a lover's knot. Two of the sections are plain and shiny and the other two are lightly engraved and textured providing a contrast. Set at the centre of these knots is a small turquoise paste. The knots swing from a puffed sphere at the bottom of a long and elegant hooked ear wire. Circa late 19th century, British in origin.

One of the sections has lost a bit of the plain wire, which can be seen on close inspection.

Not hallmarked, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold.

Measure approx 3.25 cm / 1.27 inches long by 1.35 cm / 0.53 inches at widest point.

Weigh 3.4 grams together, about 1.7 grams each.
