This is a gorgeous Victorian bracelet. The inside is silver, topped with black enamel. The enamelling has been cut away to create a vine design studded with seed pearls. This type of bracelet was worn during a period of mourning in Victorian times.

The silver is marked 800. Pieces were often crafted in different qualities of silver, the current stand of 925 is fairly modern. A couple of maker's marks are also present.

The black enamel is in excellent condition. It has a tiny bit of surface wear, but no chips. This bracelet snaps shut with a pleasant clicking sound. It does not have a safety chain. The oval shape sits nicely on the wrist, keeping the proper side facing upright.

Hallmarks: 800, dog's head for Austro-Hungarian silver.

Inside circumference is 16.5 cm / 6.5 inches.
I comfortably wear a 6.25 inch bracelet and it's shown on my wrist.

Seed pearls: 6, silvery grey in colour.
