Antique 9ct rose gold knot ring. Two bands of rose gold form a simple knot on the finger. The knot makes an infinity style design with the golden wires coming together as a single band at the back. This antique piece dates to the late Victorian era, a time when knots were in fashion as love tokens. Victorians, ever keen on symbolism, liked that the idea of rings being knotted together, forming one piece. Circa 1890s, British in origin.
Fully hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham, date letter x for 1897. The gold is rosy in hue as Victorian gold often is.
Size: UK - P; US - 7 3/4; EU - 18. Resizing between M / 6.25 and S / 9.25 is possible without disrupting hallmarks and keeping the two band shank. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 7.4 mm wide and 3.5 mm tall at knot tapering to 2.7 mm at back of shank.
