Antique cultured pearl ring dating to the mid Victorian era. This five stone ring houses off-white to light ivory coloured pearls forming a half hoop around the finger. Little flourishes are engraved in the shoulders at the ends of the cultured pearls. The shank is plain and unadorned.

This is a delicate ring. At 157 years old it's in much better condition than any of us will be at that age! It's had two replacement half pearls. It needs to be treated with care though it is perfectly suitable for regular, even daily, wear.

Pearls: assumed cultured, approx 3 mm to 3.65 mm. 3 of them are of the button shape often found in Victorian era jewellery. 2 are replacements, more modern half pearls.

Hallmarked for 18 carat gold, assayed in London, date letter for 1863.

Size: UK - P.5; US - 8; EU - 18,1. We'd recommend against resizing this ring.

Measures approx 5.25 mm by 16.8 mm on top by 3.55 mm deep. 1.7 mm band.

Weighs 2.7 grams.
