SOLD. Sorry, this item has sold.

Victorian antique sapphire and diamond three stone ring. A gorgeous royal blue sapphire is set in an engraved star design. Flanking the sapphire on each side is an old mine cut diamond. The diamonds are set in a contrasting diamond shape, a lovely detail. Asymmetrical engraved scroll designs adorn the shoulders. This ring, an original Victorian piece, retains full and crisp hallmarks for Chester, 1895 making it over 125 years old!

Sapphires: 1, round cut, royal blue in colour and measuring approx 3.2 mm.

Diamond: 2, old cut mine, approx 2.9 mm each, approx 0.16 carats together, near colourless and eye clean. Assessed within the limits of the mounting.

Hallmarked for 18 carat gold, assayed in Chester 1895.

Size: UK - O.5; US - 7.5; EU - 17,7. This ring can be sized between K.5 / 5.5 / 16,1 and P.5 / 8 / 18,2. Sizing available for an additional fee. Resizing would be done preserving the primary hallmark - metal fineness, assay office and date letter, however the worn maker's mark or catalogue number would need to be sacrificed.

Measures approx 6.3 mm wide by 1.8 mm deep at diamond, tapering to 2.3 mm at back centre.

Weighs 3.7 grams.
