Classic and timeless Art Deco diamond engagement ring set in platinum. A beautiful 0.66 carat old brilliant / transitional cut diamond is the main focus of this ring. The old cut diamond features a gorgeous flowery facet pattern with a small open culet, higher crown, and small table. The centre diamond is set into fishtail style triple claw prongs. The setting has been crafted in platinum. Two tapered baguettes, one on each side, are set into the shoulders with the band tapering down following the shape of the baguettes.
This ring is circa 1930s with the diamond displaying the classic pattern of a later old cut style.
Diamonds: centre old brilliant / transitional cut diamond measures 5.45 mm - 5.42 mm and is calculated in setting as 0.66 carats, J colour, VS clarity. Two tapered baguette accent diamonds total approx 0.20 together, F / G colour, VS clarity.
Total carat weight, calculated as setting permits is 0.86.
Markings worn and very faint, tested as Platinum 900, Iridium 100. This is a common alloy still in use today though it's slightly different from the current British standard of Platinum 950, alloy 50. This inside of this also contains faint and illegible personal engraving.
Size: UK -O; US - 7 1/4; EU - 17 1/2. This ring can be sized between M.5 / 6.5 and Q / 8.25. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures 6.04 mm wide at the top and stands 7.06 mm in height off the finger.
Weighs 4.15 grams.
