Vintage three stone diamond engagement ring dating to the mid 20th century. Three early round brilliant cut diamonds are set into square shaped which are graduated in size. The diamonds are set above the finger in platinum topped mountings. A narrow band of yellow gold curves up, meeting the diamonds. The diamonds in this ring are early round brilliant cuts with tiny open culets, large tables and low crowns. Cut in circa 1940s this is when we started to see the change from the older cutting styles to the newer, more modern style. The diamonds of this ring are set higher allowing for a wedding ring to sit flush. Circa 1940s, British in origin.
Diamonds: 3, round brilliant cut, calculated in setting as 0.25 carats total weight, I / J colour, SI clarity.
Stamped 18ct PLAT, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with the diamonds set into a platinum top.
Size: UK - J; US - 5; EU - 15.7. This ring can be sized between H.5 / 4.25 and O / 7.25. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 4.78 mm by 12.45 mm on top and stands 5.15 mm tall off the finger.
