A lovely antique amethyst engagement ring. A beautiful purple amethyst is cut into a hexagon shape and has been bezel set in an engraved bright yellow gold setting. The edge of the bezel setting is engraved in a rope style design. The gemstone still on a narrow yellow gold band. This ring has Swedish hallmarks for 1919 inside the band.

Amethyst: approx 6.40 mm wide, light to medium purple with some wear, commensurate with age.

Hallmarked 18K, R7 and with 3 crowns. This is the Swedish mark for 18 carat gold, dated 1919, and assayed in Sweden.
