Stunning Victorian bloodstone FORGET ME NOT engraved intaglio crafted in 9 carat gold. This is such a classic and it's easy to see why, a mostly green bloodstone flecked with red spots is set into the base of a fob. The bloodstone is engraved with a single forget me not flower blossom with the words FORGET ME NOT engraved in an arch across the top. Always a wonderful sentiment, it's one of my favourites. A rippled top is beautiful, very classically and cleanly designed with heavy Georgian style and influence. Engraved flowers on the handle are nicely crafted and a plain loop allows it to be worn as a pendant or charm. Circa mid 19th century, British in origin.

In very good condition with some light age related rubbing to the bloodstone.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold.

Measures approx 24.3 mm / 0.95 inch tall and 16.8 mm / 0.66 inches by 13.55 mm / 0.55 inches on the bottom.

Weighs 4.5 grams.
