Art Deco era engraved platinum wedding ring. This slender wedding band is engraved with an Orange Blossom pattern all around the exterior. Milgrain beading lines the top and bottom edges, framing the floral design. This ring is D profile with a slightly domed exterior and a flat interior. Circa 1930s, North American in origin. The interior of this ring is marked for the maker Traub (two T's in the circle), a maker based in Detroit in the the early 20th century.
The inside retains a personal inscription helping us to date this ring. It appears to read, "J.S.T. to R.A.D. 5-17-33".
Stamped 900 PLAT, 100 IRID. This ring is tested and assessed as platinum, the alloy of 90 / 10, slightly different to the modern day British standard of 95 / 5.
Size: UK - L; US - 6; EU - 16.4. This ring cannot be resized without disruption to the pattern.
Measures approx 2.15 mm wide and rises 1.6 mm tall off the finger.
Weighs 2.95 grams.
