Rare Georgian "Hannah" basket seal crafted in gold tone metal. This is just the sweetest thing! The basket is such an amazing and intricate design. The basket has a lovely beaded design all over with the beads coming together to create small flowers at the rim. The basket's handle, which doubles as a bail for it to be worn, is ridged and textured. Set into the bottom is a clear glass intaglio which is engraved "Hannah" in a script font. Circa early 19th century.

In very good condition, very slight wear in keeping with minor use. Rare is a word I don't use lightly, antiques are all rare to some extent, but this is only the second time I've seen a basket shaped seal.

Not marked, gold tone.

Measures approx 20.3 mm / 0.80 inches tall and the bottom is 15.2 mm / 0.60 inches by 12.3 mm / 0.50 inches.

Weighs 2.4 grams.
