Exquisite and pristine (not a word I usually use) wheat engraved platinum ladies wedding ring. One of my favourite patterns! And my sister's too, she tried to have off with this ring. This wedding band is shaped so that the base which is against the finger, is slightly wider than the top creating a blunted knife edge shape. The top and the sides are all very intricately engraved with a wheat or wreath style design. The sloped sides allow the design to appear more dimensional, seen from both the top and peaking out from the sides. These sloped sides also have the added benefit of usually allowing a higher set ring to sit more closely to this band. Circa early 20th century.

In excellent condition, it looks to hardly have been worn. In the photo with three engraved wreath bands this is the top one, closest to the fingernail.

Stamped PLATINUM, professionally tested and assessed as such.
