Pair of antique 9 carat gold split rings. These rings are getting much more difficult to find and are useful for connecting chains or as bails for a set of pendants to allow them to hang together and be changed out more easily. They're basically the key rings of the jewellery world! Circa late 19th century.

Larger measures approx 16.5 mm external diameter, 12.7 mm internal diameter, 2 mm wide and weighs 1.4 grams. The split goes all the way around and doesn't quite close all the way though it's still in very good working order.

Smaller measures approx 11.1 mm external diameter, 8.45 mm internal diameter, 1.3 mm wide and weighs 0.3 grams. The split goes all the way around and doesn't quite close all the way though it's still in very good working order.

These are being sold as a pair. Both unmarked and professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold, which is rosy in colour.
