Antique opal converted pendant. This is a tiny and sweet pendant! It came to us as a stick pin and we converted it by lasering on a loop and making a bail. The round opal is cabochon in cut with a domed top and flat bottom. A delicate bezel or rub over mounting, original to the opal, holds the gemstone in place. This bezel is lined with an incredibly fine milgrain edge. The opal is white in body colour with green and orange flashes. Circa 1900 opal and bezel, modern conversion.
Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold, which is very slightly rosy in colour, closer to yellow than rose and we'd pair it with a yellow gold chain.
Measures approx 6.2 mm wide, with bail it's about 13 mm long.
Weighs 0.3 grams.
This pendant can be supplied on a brand new 9 carat yellow gold trace chain (shown on model). Please choose the length you require at checkout.
