Antique Victorian opal set in 14 carat yellow gold. The large opal is white in body colour with lovely play of colour. It's a high cabochon cut which can be seen from the side. The opal is bezel set with a wide satin finish halo making it a very good size. This piece came to us as a stick pin and we've converted to a modern and wearable piece by using the pin part to convert it to a pendant. Circa 1890s opal and mounting, modern conversion.

Opal: oval shape, cabochon cut, approx 9 mm by 7.2 mm by 4.6 mm deep.

Not hallmarked, professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat yellow gold. On a modern 9 carat gold chain, please choose the length you require at checkout.

Measures approx 1.9 cm / 0.75 inches tall including fixed bail by 1.22 cm / 0.48 inches wide.

Pendant weighs 1.3 grams plus weight of chain (about 1.8 grams for 18 inches).
