Old mine cut diamond solitaire engagement ring set in 9 carat yellow gold. A sparkling cushion cut diamond is set in an unique fluted mounting. The diamond dates to the 19th century and has a very small table, chunky faceting pattern, steep crown angle, and large open culet. All these characteristics together create a wonderful and original antique cut diamond. The mounting is simple with triple claw or fishtail prongs giving an overall square appearance and a fluted design on the shoulders. This setting is circa 1940s.

Diamond: old mine cut, approx 5.43 mm to 5.45 mm, 0.70 carat, H / I colour, SI clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Stamped 10k. Professionally tested and assessed as at least 9 carat gold - the UK doesn't recognise 10k.

Size: UK - M; US - 6.25; EU - 16,75. This ring can be resized between J.5 / 5.25 and P.5 / 8. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 5.7 mm wide by 5.8 mm deep at centre stone, 2 mm band.
