Incredible original Art Deco diamond and lab created sapphire engagement ring. These rings are getting more and more difficult to find! A sparkly and clear old European cut diamond is set in four claws slightly above a buttercup style squared frame. Set above and below the centre diamond are smaller round cut diamonds and to the sides are bezel set half moon shaped synthetic sapphires. This ring is shaped as a dome, the centre diamond is the highest point with the filigree sloping out and down from all angles. A delicate leaf design creates the filigree, winding down the shoulders to halfway down the shank. Circa 1930s, likely North American in origin.

In good condition. This ring has been reshanked to make it thicker. One of the filigree leaves has been repaired.

Diamond: 3 total. Centre old European cut, measuring approx 4.3 mm and calculated as 0.30 carats, H / I colour, VS2 clarity within the limits of the mounting. 2 side stones of approx 1.5 mm to total 0.03 carats together.

Synthetic sapphires: 2, half moon shape measuring approx 3.4 mm by 2 mm.

Not stamped, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold, which is white in colour.

Size: UK - M.5; US - 6.5; EU - 16,8. This ring can be sized down to K.5 / 5.5 / 16,1. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 13.3 mm wide on the finger by 7 mm deep, 2.45 mm shank. This ring has been reshanked to make the shank wider.
