Pretty old European cut diamond set into a vintage filigree yellow gold setting. The combination of antique diamond and yellow gold filigree makes this a stunning ring! The diamond is an old cut with a beautiful, even facet pattern, steep crown, small table, and open culet. The diamond is set down into a octagonal frame which is pierced with another frame around the outside. The octagon is topped in white gold making the diamond look bright and white while still allowing for the classic two-tone gold look. A pierced filigree setting is decorated with a simple floral style design. The engraved and pierced design goes about halfway around the ring in it's current size. Underneath the diamond the setting cuts back, curving in sharply. This design allow a second band or wedding ring to sit nearer to this vintage diamond ring. This ring dates to around the mid-1910s to 1930s and is probably North American in origin.

Hallmarked as 14K for 14 carat gold and tested as such.
