Old European cut diamond engagement ring dating to the Art Deco era. I just love this style of engagement ring! Triple claw prongs get me every time and this ring is no exception. A large pillowy old cut diamond is held at it's edges by four sets of claws. The shape of the claws give this ring a more cushion cut or square cut look. Flanking the diamond and set into the shoulders are three single cut diamonds. The accent diamonds are of similar size and terminate in a pointed triangle design. The elegant shank curves up, flaring slightly to meet the diamonds. This ring is completed with a classic knife edge styled shank which softens to a D shape profile between the fingers.

This diamond is an old European cut diamond. It has a high, pillowy crown smaller table, and open culet which create a very eye catching facet pattern. Circa 1930s.

Diamonds: centre old European cut measuring approx 5.59 mm by 5.58 mm by 3.83 mm for 0.84 carats, K/L colour, SI1 clarity. 6 smaller round cut diamonds of approx 1.8 mm each to total 0.12 carats, G/H colour, VS2 - SI1 clarity.
Calculated in setting as 0.96 carats total within the limits of the mounting.
