Old cut diamond engagement dating to the mid 20th century. The large 0.60 carat old cut diamond is just stunning! It's a later old cut diamond and displays a lovely, even facet pattern with a small table and high crown. The diamond is whiter than what is often found in older cuts and it's gorgeous! The diamond likely dates to around the 1920s and has been set in a mid century 14 carat white gold mounting where it's secured with four claws. Sloped shoulders are bead set with six diamonds, three on each side. This tapers to a plain white gold shank which is knife edge at the top right under the diamonds and becomes a D profile toward the sides and back. Circa 1950s, likely North American in origin.
