Antique silver swivel dog clip clasp. This is so cool! A beast of a dog clip! The sprung clip closes securely and the top swivels. A super handy piece, it really could be used for so many things - charm holder, chain clasp, hook on a dog's lead, chain connector, key ring hook...I don't know, what you do with it is up to you. (though I'd probably keep it to jewellery myself) Circa 19th century to early 20th century based on design and silver content.

In very good condition with normal age appropriate nicks and scratches. The spring is tight and good.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as silver, around 800 - 900 / 1000. Sterling is 925 / 1000 is this is a bit lower than that.

Measures approx 40 mm / 1.6 inches tall by 18 mm / 0.75 inches wide.

Weighs 4.6 grams.
