Opal toi et moi ring dating to the early 20th century. Two gorgeous opal cabochons are claw set at an angle to each with the shank wrapping around the opals forming a lovely, swirling shape. The opals are an incredible colour, bright and flashy from within their 9 carat rose gold mounting. The opals are white in body colour with a blue overtone and flashes of orange, green and blue depending on the lighting. Circa 1910s, British in origin.
Opals: 2, round shape, cabochon cut, approx 5.5 mm to 5.6 mm each.
Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Chester, date letter for 1914. The gold is rose in colour.
Size: UK - L; US - 5.75; EU - 16,3. This ring can be sized between H.5 / 4.25 / 15 and O.5 / 7.5 / 17,75. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 9.3 mm wide by 5.4 mm deep at opals. 2.1 mm band.
