Early 20th century amethyst set toi et moi ring. Two large amethysts are set at an angle on the finger, bypassing each other in a classic toi et moi style. The two stones are meant to represent both individuals who complete the couple; toi et moi or you and me. The amethyst are set on a 9 carat rose gold band which is a heavy D profile at the back and narrows to an elegant knife edge near the gemstones. Each of the amethyst are set low to the finger in a crown style setting. They are deep purple in colour and old European cut with each having an open culet, steeply angled crown, and very small table. This beautiful ring would make an excellent engagement ring for the couple looking for something a bit different or a fantastic anniversary gift.

In ancient times amethyst was meant to assist with healing and provide the wearer with cool, level headedness. It is the birthstone of February.
