Diamond and gold bar earrings designed as spike These have been converted from a Victorian piece of jewellery. These earrings are long and lean and come to an elegant point. At the very top is an bar with a lightly curved top. Set at the base of this is a bezel set old cut diamond. This is a lovely unique design, like an exclamation point. I love the spiked design, it's edgy yet elegant and easy to wear. Circa late 19th century diamonds set in tapered bars, we've made the posts and added brand new backs.
Diamonds: 2, old cut of approx 2.4 mm, 0.05 carats each to total 0.10 carats, near colourless and eye clean as calculated within the limits of the mounting.
Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 15 carat yellow gold and platinum, the posts were also made with 15 carat Victorian gold we recycled and drew out. We've added brand new scroll backs which are marked 750 for 18 carat gold.
Measure approx 24 mm / 0.95 inches long by 3.25 mm wide at widest point.
Weigh 1.8 grams.
