Vintage crossover diamond cluster ring.  To say that this ring is amazing would be selling it short in my opinion!  Two large, and very glittery, clusters of diamonds are set at an angle to each other.  Each cluster holds nine diamonds, one in the middle and eight around it.  The centre diamond is set in a star shaped design with the surrounding diamonds in multiple beads so that more light is reflected off them.  The overall effect is stunning!

I think this ring would make a wonderful cocktail ring!  Diamonds shine quite like nothing else and rather than the larger single stone dinner ring this ring having multiple small light catching diamonds creates the perfect look in low lit environments.  Circa 1970s - 1980s, likely British in origin.

Diamonds: 18, approx 0.45 carats total weight, G / H / I colour, I clarity.  These diamonds have some inclusions visible to the unaided eye in good lighting.  Their white colour and the sheer amount of them make them perfect for environments with lower light - cocktails anyone?

Hallmarked 18 ct Plat and tested as 18 carat gold.  The tops of the claws may be platinum but are too small to accurately test.

Each cluster measures approx 9 mm across.  This ring has a rise of about 5.8 mm off the finger.
