Antique snake design split ring in 15 carat yellow gold. This split ring is styled as an ouroboros, a snake eating its tail, to form a hoop. The snake is carved with detailed sides in a cross hatch design meant to look like scales. top of its head and smooth sides. The split is opposite the snake's head and can be opened to add charms and fobs to this split ring. Circa mid 1800s, late Georgian to Early Victorian.
Not hallmarked, tested as 15 carat gold.
Measures approx 12.9 mm at the outer edges, 18.45 mm internal diameter. This ring is approx 1.45 mm wide and 2.1 mm thick.
Fits approx as size UK - Q 1/2; US - 8 1/2; EU - 18.5 if worn as a ring.
