Pretty modern blue topaz ring set in yellow gold. A 7 mm blue topaz has been set low to the finger in a very simple setting. Six claw prongs hold the topaz and the band is D shaped in profile. The topaz is bright blue in colour and is in excellent condition. Dates to the 1980s - 1990s, likely North American in origin.

Blue topaz: round cut, measures 7 mm and is calculated in setting as 1.75 carats.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, with import marks for Birmingham assay office. This ring has been marked twice, as 10K for 10 carat gold and as 9 carat gold when imported. The UK doesn't recognise 10 carat gold and as such cannot mark pieces for 10 carat.
