Art Deco sapphire and diamond engagement ring.  A lovely medium blue French cut sapphire is set in a platinum topped setting.  The sapphire is bezel set in a double row of milgrain beading which shows some wear.  On either side, slanting up and down the  finger is a single cut diamond, illusion set in a platinum top.  The twist style is lovely with the shiny bands of yellow gold arching to the top and bottom of sapphire.  I always think it looks like the gemstones are getting a bit of a hug.  This ring dates to circa 1910s - 1920s and is British in origin.

Sapphire: bright blue, French cut, measures approx 3 mm square and estimated in setting as approx 0.20 carats.

Diamonds: 2 single / eight cut, total approx 0.02 carats total weight.

Hallmarked as 9 ct Plat.  This ring is mostly 9 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
