Lovely Art Nouveau diamond engagement ring with engraved sides. Five diamonds are set into a scalloped edged, platinum top ring. The design is frilly and feminine with milgrain beading framing the centre diamond and carving beading dotting the spaces between the diamonds. On the sides this ring, rather unusually, has been hand engraved with a scroll pattern. The engraving winds it's way under the diamonds and down the shoulders. This ring has a delicate appearance on the finger with a huge amount of detail worked onto every space. Circa 1910s - 1920s, British in origin.

Diamonds: 5, eight cut / single cut, approx 0.08 carats total weight.

Marked 18ct & PLAT. This ring is mostly 18 carat yellow gold with the diamonds set into a platinum top.
